Extra layer in a cold snap
During the cold snap we laid a wool blanket on top and the cotton took the extra layer without the stripes looking strained.
Best in spring and autumn
It breathes well through spring and autumn, though in the warmest weeks we found the cotton a little much for the nights.
Ordered one for the guest room
We liked the first set enough to order another for the guest room, and the oat stripes have made that room look less bare.
Wish for a smaller size
The set is exactly the calm look I wanted, and the only thing I would add is a smaller option for the single bed in the study.
Right with an all-season insert
It works well with an all-season insert and the cover sits smoothly over the filling, so the duvet does not look loose or overfilled.
Colour softer in person
The oat and ivory look a shade softer in person than on the screen, and the stripes are the same generous width as the listing.
Stripes line up mostly
The broad stripes run straight across the duvet and the pillows, though one pillowcase lands slightly off the line at the seam.
Softer and much less stiff than the plain cotton we had before.

The duvet falls evenly on both sides and stops just below the mattress edge, so the stripes run straight without riding up.
