Guests liked it, one note
Our guests said the bed looked nostalgic and layered, though one thought the floral would be better in a larger room.

Description
Trailing flowers soften the room without fading into the background. This cotton bedding pairs an intricate floral face with a plain reverse, giving the bed a layered, slightly nostalgic feel. The double-layer jacquard has a gently textured surface, and small ties on the pillows add an unhurried finishing touch. It is decorative enough to carry the room, yet easy to balance with simple furniture.
For the denim blue version, add a plain warm ivory cushion against the floral pillows to pick up the light ground of the pattern. A honey-colored wooden bedside table warms the cool blue, while its smooth surface gives the textured bedding some welcome breathing room.
- Cotton construction: A double-layer cotton jacquard face pairs with a washed cotton reverse, bringing two complementary fabric textures to the bed.
- Floral pattern: Delicate trailing flowers give the bedding a nostalgic character while leaving the surrounding furniture and accessories free to stay simple.
- Plain reverse: The solid backing adds a calm contrast when the duvet is folded back, making the layered look easy to achieve.
- Pillow ties: Small fabric ties finish the pillow edges with a soft decorative detail that complements the flowing floral design.

Insert goes in easily
The opening is wide enough to work the insert through without a struggle, and the small pillow ties keep the shams closed neatly.
At night the trailing flowers make the room feel softer.
Stored away for summer
Over the hot weeks it stayed folded on the shelf and came out with only a faint mark along one fold.
Plain throw keeps it calm
A plain cream throw across the foot lets the floral face carry the bed, and the plain reverse shows softly when the cover is turned.
Cotton jacquard, trailing floral face, plain reverse, small pillow ties.
Ordered the same again
I ordered the same denim floral a second time for the guest room, since the trailing pattern suits a smaller bed well.
Softer and more detailed than the cotton set it replaced.
Looks like the listing
The floral face and the plain reverse match the listing closely, and the denim blue is a shade deeper in person.
Good in the morning and evening
In the morning the floral face looks crisp in daylight, and in the evening with the lamp the plain reverse reads softer and calmer.
Fine on a standard bed
It fits our standard double neatly, though on the guest bed with a topper the fitted sheet pulls slightly at two corners.
Textured but soft in hand
The double-layer jacquard feels soft in the hand with a gently textured surface, and it drapes over the bed without stiffness.
Gift for my mother
I sent one to my mother and she liked the trailing flowers against her traditional wooden furniture.
A plain bed gains a nostalgic, layered feel from these trailing flowers.
Honey wood warms the blue
It looks best with a honey-toned wooden table and a plain ivory cushion, which picks up the light ground of the floral pattern.
My partner likes the flowers
My partner usually prefers plain bedding and he likes this floral, though he thinks the pillow ties are a detail too many.
Check the pillow size
Sizes are true to the chart, and the only sizing note is that the pillowcases are cut generously for standard pillows.
Pattern could be crisper
The trailing flowers are woven evenly across the duvet and the shams, though the motif edges are slightly softer than printed flowers.
Comfortable in most weather
It has been comfortable from spring through autumn, and with a heavier insert underneath in winter it still works on the bed.
Would like a warmer colour
The denim blue is exactly what I wanted and the jacquard is lovely, and the only thing I would add is a warm terracotta version.
