Description
A leafy bed can feel richly patterned without looking busy. Here, pale curling foliage stands out against deeper tones, while burgundy fabric adds a warm, grounded counterpoint. The jacquard cotton brings texture to the broad leaf shapes, and the brushed finish gives the set a welcoming softness. It suits a bedroom with a little evening drama and an affection for vintage pattern.
Place a cream ceramic lamp on the bedside table to echo the pale leaves and lighten the burgundy palette. A dark walnut bench at the foot of the bed adds a solid, smooth surface beside the textured cotton. Keep the bench bare so the generous leaf pattern remains the room's main decorative feature.
- Textured cotton: Jacquard weaving and a brushed finish bring raised pattern and a soft touch together in one cotton fabric story.
- Leaf pattern: Repeating pale foliage gives the bed a generous decorative rhythm, with enough scale to remain visible across the room.
- Burgundy contrast: Deep red fabric balances the lighter leaf design and visually connects the patterned duvet with the surrounding bedding.
- Coordinated styling: Matching leaf-patterned pillows carry the design upward, creating a finished look without needing extra decorative cushions.

Gift for my brother
I gave my brother a set and he liked how the burgundy warms up his plain bedroom.
Woven, not printed
The curled leaves are woven into the jacquard rather than printed, and the outlines stay crisp.
Soft by day, deeper at night
In daylight the leaves read soft and pale, and by lamplight the burgundy deepens.
Insert sits flat
The insert threads through simply, and the ties keep the jacquard sitting flat over the quilt.
Softer hue in the second
I bought a second set in the same burgundy, though the second one arrived with a softer hue.
Deep mattress covered
It takes our deep mattress at every corner, and the cover falls generously on both sides.
Waking to the deep burgundy and pale leaves feels warm without being dark and heavy.
Warm on cool nights
It keeps a good warmth on cool nights, though on warmer ones it can feel a little heavy.
Partner likes it in the evening
My partner says the room feels a little smarter in the evening with this set on the bed.
Brushed jacquard cotton, deep burgundy, pale leaf outlines.
Warm in mild weeks
It swaps in for autumn and winter, though the brushed jacquard feels warm in the milder weeks.
Pale curling foliage against deep burgundy gives the bed a quiet richness.
Rich and warm where the set before it was plain, and far softer than the stiff cotton it replaced.
True to size
The cover and shams came up right for our usual size, with nothing left over at the foot.
Texture shows by day
The brushed jacquard is soft on the skin, though the texture shows more than I expected in daylight.
Warm wood suits it
Warm wood furniture suits the burgundy, and a plain cream cushion keeps the bed from feeling heavy.
Burgundy as rich as shown
The burgundy is exactly as rich as the listing, and the pale foliage is just as soft against it.
Would like a deep green
Nothing I would change about the bed, though a deep green version of this jacquard would tempt me.
Ivory throw suits it
A plain ivory throw over the burgundy suits the soft jacquard, though a patterned one fights the leaves.
