No matching cushion included
The set has everything I need and the ruffles are lovely, though the pale rose velvet cushion shown in the photos is not included.

Description
Generous ruffles give this cotton sateen bedding a soft, romantic shape, with gathered pillow edges echoing the folds of the duvet. The pale cream color keeps the decoration gentle, allowing texture to do most of the work. Loosely layered pieces create a welcoming bed with a relaxed, vintage-inspired mood.
Pair the vanilla cream shade with a pale rose velvet cushion for a small change in texture and tone. A whitewashed wood bedside table keeps the setting light, while a simple ceramic lamp adds a calm shape beside the gathered edges.
- Gathered ruffles: Softly gathered borders bring volume around the duvet and pillowcases, creating a layered arrangement with a romantic outline.
- Cotton sateen: The brushed cotton sateen fabric balances a smooth-looking surface with relaxed folds across the coordinated bedding pieces.
- Cream palette: A pale, warm neutral lets the ruffles stand out without relying on a strong print or contrasting trim.
- Coordinated pillows: Matching ruffled pillowcases repeat the duvet's gathered detail, helping the full bed feel cohesive and thoughtfully arranged.

Insert shifts slightly
The cover holds the insert well overall, though the sateen is smooth and the duvet drifts down a little over a night or two.
Check the pillow size
The duvet size suited our bed, though the pillowcases are generous and our standard pillows sit a little loose inside them.
The sateen is softer and the ruffles fuller than the set it replaced.
Ruffles finer in person
The ruffles are finer in person than the listing photographs suggest, and the cream is a shade warmer on the bed.
Gift for a friend
I gave a set to a friend for her new flat and she liked that the ruffles add detail without needing any print on the bed.
Good on humid nights
It stayed comfortable through a humid spell and did not cling, and the cotton sateen breathes well on the warmer nights too.
Ruffles run evenly
The gathered border falls evenly around the duvet and the pillow edges echo it at a smaller scale, with no puckering at the seams.
Kept in the main bedroom
It has stayed on our main bed since spring, and the vanilla cream suits that room's whitewashed furniture particularly well.
The generous ruffles make the evening feel calm when I turn in.
It makes a plain bed look softly dressed with almost no effort.
Softer but shows creases
The sateen feels smoother and softer than I expected, though it does show creases across the middle of the bed during the week.
Fine unless you use a topper
It fits our mattress properly, though once we added a topper the fitted sheet began to lift slightly at two corners.
Cotton sateen, vanilla cream, generous gathered ruffles.
Bought another colour
I ordered a second set in a deeper tone for the guest room, though the two colours read quite differently next to each other.
