Lace runs evenly
The lace trim follows the gathered edge evenly around the duvet and the pillowcases, and the ruffled borders are stitched consistently.

Description
Gathered edges and delicate lace bring a gentle decorative note to this washed cotton bedding. The pale fabric falls in soft folds, with ruffled pillow borders adding shape at the head of the bed. Its relaxed surface balances the more ornate trim, creating a bedroom mood that feels warm and romantic without needing a perfectly pressed finish.
Let the lace sit against a simple upholstered headboard so its detail remains clear. A small glass vase and a warm brass reading lamp add just enough polish, while plain cushions keep the gathered edges from feeling crowded by other patterns.
- Washed cotton: A softly creased finish brings an easy, everyday quality to the decorative bedding and its loosely arranged layers.
- Lace detailing: Delicate trim adds a fine decorative accent, giving the pale fabric interest without relying on a bold printed pattern.
- Gathered edges: Ruffled borders create a gentle outline around the pillows and visible bedding edges, softening the shape of the bed.
- Quiet palette: A pale, understated ground lets the texture and trimming take focus and pairs easily with warm wood or upholstered furniture.

Would like a deeper shade
The set is lovely and the lace is delicate, and the only thing I would add is a deeper sand option for the darker room.
Looks like the listing
Colour and trim match the listing closely, and the pale cotton is a shade warmer in person than it appears on screen.
Check the pillow size
The duvet size suited our bed, though the pillowcases are generous and our standard pillows sit a little loose inside them.
Fine on a standard bed
It fits our standard double neatly, though on the guest bed with a topper the fitted sheet pulls slightly at two corners.
Soft and gently creased
The washed cotton feels soft and slightly creased in the hand, and the lace edge sits flat rather than standing stiffly away.
The lace makes the morning feel gentler, though the washed cotton needs a shake to sit flat.
Gift for my mother
I gave a set to my mother and she liked how the lace suits her traditional bedroom, and she has kept it on since.
Better with a plain headboard
It looks best against a simple upholstered headboard and pale wood, so the lace detail stays clear rather than competing.
Plain throw keeps it calm
A plain cream throw across the foot balances the lace, and nothing else on the bed is needed with the ruffled edges in place.
My partner likes the lace
My partner usually ignores bedding and he likes the lace along the pillow edges, saying the bed looks finished without being fussy.
The lace is finer and the cotton softer than the set it replaced.
Insert needs a bit of work
The duvet goes in fine with two hands, though the opening is on the narrower side and the insert needs pushing into the corners.
Good in the morning and evening
In the morning the pale cotton looks soft in daylight, and in the evening with the lamp the lace casts gentle shadows on the pillows.
Comfortable in most weather
It has been comfortable from spring through autumn, and with a heavier insert underneath in winter it still works on the bed.
