Cases cut generously
A standard insert fits well, though the pillowcases are cut generously so firm inserts sit a little loose.
Floral Cotton Bedding Set with Ruched Borders

Description
Delicate dark florals spread across a pale ground, framed by softly gathered borders and narrow decorative trim. This cotton bedding combines a detailed botanical pattern with plain fabric at the edges, giving the bed a romantic, layered look. Cream and blush accents soften the contrast, while the ruched sections add depth beside the flatter printed surface.
Pair the cream version with a dark wood bedside table and a simple ivory lamp. The wood picks up the dark floral lines, while the lamp repeats the light background. A plain cream cushion adds a quieter layer and leaves the botanical print and gathered border to carry the decorative detail.
- Cotton fabric: The cotton bedding offers a comfortable surface with a softly draped appearance.
- Botanical print: Fine floral branches bring intricate detail while the pale background keeps the look light.
- Ruched borders: Gathered fabric at the sides creates texture and a fuller, softly framed outline.
- Dark accents: Narrow decorative trim separates the floral panels from the plain borders for a clear, coordinated finish.

Gathering adds depth
The gathered sections along the border add just enough depth without competing with the floral print.
Summer nights, spring evenings
Cool enough for summer nights and warm enough that spring evenings need nothing extra on top.
Came back for blush pink
After a full season with the cream set, I came back and ordered the blush pink as well.
Dark wood echoes the trim
A dark wood bedside table echoes the fine dark trim and stops the pale layers from blurring together.
Floral slightly darker than expected
The ruched border looks exactly as photographed, though the floral is a little darker than I expected.
The finishing on the border is neater than the printed set this replaced.
Lovely to look at, though the ruched border needs smoothing after washing.
Needs a calm room
It has made the spare room look dressed, though it is a print that needs a calm room around it.
Soft cotton and a romantic gathered border.
Birthday gift for my sister
Gave a set to my sister for her birthday and she has kept it on the bed ever since.
My mother ordered one too
My mother asked about it during a visit, and then ordered the same set for her own spare room.
Beautiful, but it creases
It looks beautiful on the bed, though cotton creases and I iron the border before guests come.
Corners tight with a thick insert
It takes our duvet insert properly, though the cotton has no stretch, so a thick insert makes the corners tight.
Spring to autumn
It stays on the bed from spring to autumn, and in winter I add a plain quilt underneath.
Right size, generous cases
Medium covers our double bed with the corners holding, and the pillowcases suit firm inserts.
French feel without extras
The gathered borders give it a French feel without needing extra cushions or a patterned throw.
Dark florals, pale ground, gathered borders.
Borders hang straight
It fits our bed properly and the ruched borders hang straight rather than twisting at the corners.
Soft, slightly matte cotton
The cotton has a nice weight to it and a soft, slightly matte surface rather than the crisp finish I expected.
