The Routine

Machine Wash: Use cold water on a gentle cycle. Place slippers in a mesh laundry bag to prevent abrasion. Use mild liquid detergent and avoid bleach completely.

Detergent: Choose mild, non-softening detergents. Fabric softener can coat synthetic fibers and reduce breathability.

Drying: Air dry only. High heat can warp polyester fibers, deform inner foam, and cause the fabric to pill or melt. Lay flat in a ventilated area.

If you must use a dryer, choose Low Heat and remove promptly.

Ironing: Do not iron. Polyester fibers can melt or become glossy under high heat. For removing wrinkles, use a handheld steamer from a distance.

Keep the Padding Bouncy: After washing, press gently with a towel to remove excess water. Avoid twisting or wringing, which damages the foam structure.

Prevent Pilling: Wash separately from coarse fabrics such as denim or jackets. Polyester can pill when repeatedly rubbed against rough surfaces.

Deodorize Safely: A tablespoon of baking soda inside each slipper before washing helps neutralize odors without harming synthetic fibers.

Avoid Direct Heat: Never place polyester slippers near radiators, heaters, or strong sunlight. Prolonged heat exposure can cause shrinkage, fiber hardening, or deformation of the insole.
