Runner should stay plain
An oat runner suits the fine stripes at the foot, and a patterned one fights the crinkled lines.

Description
Halden brings the ease of a fine stripe to softly crinkled cotton double gauze. Fog grey keeps the room quiet, cocoa brown adds a warmer note, and sage green introduces gentle color without demanding much around it. The fabric settles into loose folds, giving the neat lines a relaxed character that feels at home with simple, everyday furnishings.
Try light wood and plain cream cushions for a softly coordinated room, or use a dark bedside chair to give the pale stripes more definition. Keep extra patterns to a minimum. The gauze texture and subtle lines already give the bed enough interest up close.
- Cotton double gauze: Pure cotton in a naturally textured double-gauze construction.
- Fine stripes: Subtle lines run across the duvet and matching pillowcases.
- Three muted colors: Choose fog grey, cocoa brown or sage green.
- Simple styling: Plain cushions and wood furniture complement the relaxed striped design.

My sister asked about it
While staying, my sister asked where it came from, and she has ordered the same striped set since.
Insert shifts slightly
It takes the insert well enough, though the gauze lets the duvet drift down after a night or two.
Sizing follows the chart
The sizes in the guide worked for our bed, and the shams take our pillows comfortably.
Extra layer in a cold week
During the coldest week a wool blanket went under the cover, and the gauze coped without the stripes straining.
Stripes are evenly spaced
The fine stripes run evenly across the duvet and the pillowcases, and the crinkled gauze keeps them from looking rigid.
The crinkled stripes make the corner of the room feel relaxed, though the pale ground shows marks easily.
Grey softer in person
The fog grey is softer in person than the listing shows, and the fine stripes are quieter on the bed.
Gift for a housewarming
I sent a set as a housewarming gift, and it fitted their quiet, simply furnished bedroom at once.
Wish for a larger size
Nothing disappointed me here, and my one wish is a wider version for our big bed.
Added a set for the guest room
A second set went to the guest room, where the sage green column reads even softer.
It stays on our bed
It has stayed on our main bed since spring, and the fine stripes suit the plain walls and pale wood there.
