The gauze is softer and the embroidery finer than the set it replaced.

Description
Tiny birds and sunny accents bring a lighthearted note to a softly muted bed. Against the pale grey cotton gauze, the scattered embroidery feels charming without taking over the room. The fabric's relaxed surface keeps the look easygoing, while the decorated pillow covers give the head of the bed a little more detail to enjoy up close.
Place a small muted yellow cushion in front of the pillows to echo the sunny embroidery. A low oak bedside table adds warmth to the pale grey fabric; its broad, smooth surface balances the small scattered motifs without introducing another busy pattern.
- Cotton gauze: The double gauze fabric brings a soft, gently crinkled surface that suits a relaxed arrangement of folds and pillows.
- Embroidered details: Small birds and sunny accents introduce touches of color across the muted ground without becoming an oversized statement.
- Pillow composition: Decorated and quieter surfaces create a naturally layered look at the head of the bed with minimal extra styling.
- Versatile palette: Pale grey pairs comfortably with warm wood, while the small colored motifs offer easy starting points for a favorite accent cushion.

Use the size guide
I checked the size guide before ordering and the cover fitted our bed exactly as the measurements suggested, with the shams covered.
Looks like the listing
The bird embroidery is the same scale as the listing and the grey ground is a shade warmer in person, which suits our room.
The pale grey with small yellow birds is softer than I expected.
My sister liked it, one note
My sister asked about the set when she stayed, though she thought the pale grey would be too light for a child's room.
Right with a light insert
It sits nicely over a light insert and the cover drapes softly, so the duvet looks relaxed rather than overfilled.
The little birds make the corner of the room cheerful, though the pale grey shows marks easily.
Hangs well at the sides
The duvet hangs evenly on both sides with a soft drop at the foot, and the gauze falls in loose folds rather than sitting flat.
Embroidery is evenly scattered
The tiny birds are scattered evenly across the duvet and the pillowcases, and the decorated pillow covers line up at the seams.
Wish for a larger size
The set is charming and the embroidery is neatly placed, and the only thing I would add is a larger size for our wider bed.
Muted yellow cushion echoes them
A small muted yellow cushion against the pillows echoes the sunny accents, and a low oak table warms the pale grey fabric.
Good between seasons
It works through spring and early autumn with a light quilt, and with a heavier insert underneath it still suits the cooler weeks.
It stays in the guest room
It has stayed on the guest bed since spring, and the pale grey with the small birds suits the soft light in there.
Cotton gauze, tiny bird embroidery, soft grey ground.
Runner should stay plain
A plain cream runner across the foot suits the gauze, though a patterned runner competes with the scattered birds.
