Softer and much less stiff than the cotton set it replaced.
Bought the same again
I ordered the same shade a second time for the spare room, though the second set arrived a little stiffer before its first wash.
Works with pale wood
It sits well with pale wood and a textured throw, and the plain tone lets the room's other neutrals do the talking.
Wide range, still want more
The shade we chose is exactly right and the fabric is lovely, and the only thing I would add is a soft olive for the study.
Fine on a standard bed
It fits our standard double neatly, though on the guest bed with a topper the fitted sheet pulls slightly at two corners.
The soft cotton makes the morning easy, though the pale tone marks quickly.
Insert goes in easily
The opening is wide enough to work the insert through without a struggle, and the cover sits smoothly once it is closed.
Plain surfaces, clean seams
There is no pattern on the set at all, and the seams run straight along the duvet and the pillowcases, so the fabric is the detail.
Back out for the cooler months
It came out of the cupboard as the nights cooled and has stayed on since, and the washed cotton had not gone stiff in storage.
Soft but on the thin side
The cotton feels soft and broken-in straight from the pack, though it is a lighter fabric than our previous set.

My partner likes how calm it is on the bed, though he would have picked the deeper grey rather than the pale one we chose.
Colour close to the listing
