Bought the same again
I ordered the same set a second time for the spare room, though the second one arrived with slightly firmer ruffles before washing.
Bow Embroidered Ruffle Cotton Bedding Set

Description
Little embroidered bows and softly gathered edges give this cotton bedding a playful, romantic character. Dark piping traces the ruffles, bringing a clear outline to the light fabric without overpowering it. The coordinated pillowcases echo the duvet's details, creating a layered bed that feels decorative yet easy to live with.
Pair the cream white shade with a small black velvet cushion to pick up the bow embroidery. A pale oak bedside table keeps the arrangement warm and light, while a simple ceramic lamp leaves the ruffles and contrasting edges as the main detail.
- Bow embroidery: Small embroidered bows repeat across the cotton duvet and pillowcases, adding a playful detail to the light-colored fabric.
- Ruffled edges: Gently gathered borders give the bedding a soft outline and add volume around the coordinated pillow arrangement.
- Contrasting piping: Dark trim follows the ruffled edges, making their curves visible while keeping the rest of the design light.
- Cotton fabric: The cotton base supports a relaxed drape, balancing the decorative embroidery and ruffles with an everyday feel.

The ruffled edge makes the morning feel gentler, though the cream shows marks easily.
My partner likes the bows
My partner usually ignores bedding and he likes the little embroidered bows, saying they make the bed look playful without being fussy.
Good in the morning and evening
In the morning the cream looks bright and clean, and in the evening with the lamp the ruffles cast soft shadows across the pillow.
Would like a softer colour
The set is charming and the bows are nicely stitched, and the only thing I would add is a soft blush or sage colour option.
Check the pillow size
The duvet size suited our bed, though the pillowcases are generous and our standard pillows sit a little loose inside them.
Better with pale wood
It looks best with our pale oak bedside table and a simple ceramic lamp, though beside dark furniture the cream reads starker.
Bows sit evenly
The embroidered bows repeat evenly across the duvet and the pillowcases, though on one sham a bow sits very slightly off centre.
Insert needs a bit of work
The duvet goes in fine with two hands, though the opening is on the narrower side and the insert needs pushing into the corners.
Stored away for summer
It folded into a small stack over summer, though the ruffles hold a light crease if the stack is packed too tightly.
Best in the milder months
It works well through spring and autumn, though in the warmest weeks we found the cotton a little much for the nights.
Gift for my sister
I sent a set to my sister and she liked it, though she thought the ruffles would be more decorative than her own plain room.
The bows are smaller and the ruffles softer than on the set it replaced.
One plain throw is enough
A plain cream throw across the foot suits the ruffled edges, and the dark piping keeps the bed looking defined without another pattern.
Soft cotton, lightly gathered
The cotton feels soft and light in the hand, and the gathered edges give the fabric a little movement without any stiffness.
Cream is a shade warmer
The bows and the dark piping match the listing, and the cream white is a shade warmer in person than it looks on screen.
Fine on a standard bed
It fits our standard double neatly, though on the guest bed with a topper the fitted sheet pulls slightly at two corners.
