No flat sheet in the box
The set is well finished and easy to keep looking neat, though I would have liked a matching flat sheet included instead of buying one separately.
Sent one to a friend
I sent this to a friend after she redecorated her spare room, and she said the plain white with the dark edge was exactly the look she wanted.
Turning the cover back at night feels like a hotel, in the best way.
On our bed since spring
It has been on our bed in the main bedroom since spring, and the white with the dark edge has made the room feel calmer to walk into.
The white is a fraction warmer in person, and it is still close to the pictures.
Fine unless you use a topper
It copes with a thick mattress on its own, and once I added a topper the corners started to lift slightly whenever the bed was made.
Deep pockets are generous
Our mattress is on the thicker side and the fitted sheet still has room to spare, so I would also recommend it for anyone using a topper.
The texture shows up in daylight
The fine weave is visible in daylight and the white has not yellowed or changed tone after several washes, so the photos were accurate.
Softer hand than hotel linen
I expected something crisp and formal from the photos, and the washed cotton is much softer in the hand than hotel bedding, with a relaxed drape.
The single black line along the edge does all the work.
Ordered the second one too
After a month with the white set I ordered another for our older son, since the plain look sits happily beside almost any colour scheme.
Insert stays where I put it
The corner ties keep the insert from sliding down into the bottom of the cover, so the duvet stays even across the bed all night long.

Back in the cupboard neatly
It pressed flat enough to go back into the linen cupboard when we changed to a lighter set, and it came out again without holding hard folds.
Good through muggy nights
Our bedroom gets humid in late summer and this cotton stayed comfortable rather than clammy, which is why it has stayed on the bed since June.
Trim is straight but narrow
The black edging runs evenly along the duvet and the pillowcases, and it is narrower than it looked online, so on a wide bed it reads quite subtle.
Works with our grey throw
The washed cotton takes a grey knitted throw at the foot of the bed without looking mismatched, and the black line keeps the whole bed defined.
Pale blue cushion ties it together
A plain pale-blue cushion against the white pillows pulls the sheet colour up to the head of the bed. The trim is tidier than I expected, though the cushion cover is not included.
