Stored over summer
Over the summer it sat in a compact stack, though a tight pack leaves the waffle weave with a light crease.

Cover holds the insert
The insert is held firmly with the corners filled, so the waffle bands keep an even line across the bed.
No matching cushion included
The set covers everything I needed and the texture is lovely, though the cushion in the photos is not included.
Bought another colour
I ordered a second set in the sky blue as well, and the waffle stripes suit both rooms in the house.
Works with ivory and blue
It sits well with plain ivory or pale blue linen, and the waffle bands keep the palette from feeling flat.
Right on a thick mattress
Our thick mattress is covered at every corner, and the cover drops well past both sides.
Guests liked it
Our guests said the bed looked quietly textured, and one asked where the waffle stripes were from.
It gives a plain bed structure with texture instead of print.
Looks like the listing
The broad stripes and the waffle texture match the listing closely, and the colours are softer on the bed.
In person the stripes are finer and the cotton softer than the photographs suggested.
Warm on a humid night
Most summer evenings it breathes well, though one humid night felt warmer than we would have chosen.
The waffle bands catch the lamp light and make the evening feel cosy.
Edges could be crisper
The seams run straight and the waffle squares are evenly woven, though the edging on one pillowcase is a touch soft.
Softer than expected
The cotton is softer than the photographs suggested, though it does crease where it has been folded.
Kept in the spare room
It is in the spare room where the light is gentle, and the waffle bands suit the plain walls.
Gift for a friend
A friend took a set for her new flat and liked it, though the khaki came out warmer in her room than she expected.
Cushion picks up the stripe
A plain cushion against the striped pillows picks up the bands, and the waffle squares give the eye somewhere to settle.
Waffle-weave cotton, broad woven stripes, coordinating sheet.
Sized for a deep mattress
The fitted sheet grips our deep mattress at every corner and stays put through the night.
