Extra layer in the cold week
In the coldest week we tucked a wool blanket under the cover, and the cotton took the extra layer without the print looking strained.

Description
The Vibe: Coquette Bow Print · Washed Cotton Softness · Cottagecore Charm
Thistlewood brings a storybook softness to the bedroom with its hand-drawn bow motif scattered across breathable washed cotton. Ivory and black play off each other in a quiet, romantic rhythm — the kind of print that feels equal parts playful and polished. Layer it with soft neutrals for an easy, lived-in look that only gets cozier with time.
Key Features
- Hand-Drawn Bow Print: A charming scattered bow motif in ink black on soft ivory adds a coquette touch without feeling overly sweet.
- Breathable Washed Cotton: Made from soft, breathable washed cotton that softens with every wash for a naturally lived-in feel.
- Complete Bedding Set: Includes a duvet cover, flat sheet, and pillowcases for an easy coordinated bedroom refresh.
Styling Tips
Pair Thistlewood with warm neutral or dusty mauve accent pillows to echo its soft, romantic palette. A woven throw at the foot of the bed adds texture, while sheer curtains keep the whole look light and airy.

Soft against the skin
The washed cotton feels soft and slightly rumpled on the skin, and it has relaxed further after the first two washes.
It stays on our bed
It has stayed on our bed since spring, and the ivory and black print suits the plain walls and pale wood in that room.
The ink black bows give a plain ivory bed a bit of character.
Added a set for the guest room
We liked the first set enough to order another for the guest room, and the bow print suits a smaller room particularly well.
Washed cotton, hand-drawn ink bows, soft ivory ground.
Right with a light insert
It sits nicely over a light insert and the cover drapes softly, so the duvet looks relaxed rather than overfilled at the corners.
Looks like the listing
Spacing and size match the listing, and the ivory is a shade warmer in person, which suits our room better than the photos suggest.
Colour has kept well
After several washes the ink bows have stayed dark and the ivory ground has not yellowed, so it still looks fresh on the bed.
Wish for extra pillowcases
The set is charming and the print has held up well, and the only thing I would add is the option to buy extra pillowcases.
The bows are smaller in person than the photos suggested, though I like them better this way.
Hang is slightly short
It fits the mattress properly, though the duvet hangs a little shorter at the sides than our last set, so the bed looks narrower.
Good in the shoulder seasons
It works through spring and autumn with a light quilt, and with a heavier insert underneath it still suits the cooler weeks.
Gift for a housewarming
I gave a set as a housewarming gift and it suited their light-filled flat straight away, so it made an easy present.
Neutral layers suit it
It looks best with plain neutrals and pale wood furniture, and the ivory ground lets the black bows carry the whole bed.
Bow print is consistent
The hand-drawn bows are scattered evenly across the duvet and the pillowcases, and the ink black has stayed crisp at the seams.
Keep the runner plain
A plain cream runner across the foot suits the bow print, though a patterned runner competes with the scattered motifs.
The scattered bows make the corner of the room feel playful each morning.
My cousin asked about it
My cousin stayed the weekend and asked about the bow print before she left, and she has since ordered a set for her own room.
Use the size guide
I checked the size guide before ordering and the cover fitted our bed exactly as the measurements suggested, with the flat sheet matching.
