Description
The Vibe: quiet cottage mornings · hand-embroidered charm · worn-in cotton comfort
Verbena brings a slow, garden-gathered softness to the bedroom. Small embroidered floral sprays scatter across a finely striped cotton ground, echoing the unstudied charm of a countryside linen closet. It's the kind of bedding that feels collected rather than bought — comfortable in its imperfections, warm in its detail.
Key Features
- Hand-Placed Floral Embroidery: Delicate flower-and-leaf clusters are embroidered across the duvet and shams, adding dimension without overwhelming the calm base.
- Fine Jacquard Stripe Ground: A subtle woven stripe texture gives the cotton body and a soft, lived-in hand-feel.
- Ties & Hidden Closure: Corner ties keep the duvet insert in place, with a concealed closure for a clean, tailored finish.
- Breathable All-Cotton Build: Pure cotton construction stays breathable night to night, softening further with every wash.
Styling Tips
Let Verbena anchor a room built around soft, sun-faded neutrals — think weathered wood side tables, a stoneware vase of dried flowers, and warm ambient light. Layer in a solid throw at the foot of the bed to let the embroidered clusters stay the visual focus.

Embroidery is neatly placed
The little floral sprays are stitched evenly across the duvet and the shams, and the striped ground runs straight with no puckering.
Cream cushion picks up the flowers
A plain cream cushion in front of the embroidered pillows echoes the pale ground, and the fine stripe keeps the rest of the bed quiet.
Best with plain bedding
It works best with plain white sheets and a simple wooden bedside table, and it fights a little with patterned bedding if you layer them.
Guests liked it, one note
Our guests said the embroidered sprays made the room feel welcoming, though one mentioned the pale ground shows crumbs rather easily.
Fine on a standard bed
It fits our standard double neatly, though on the guest bed with a topper the fitted sheet pulls a little at the corners.
Softer than expected
I expected a crisp cotton and the striped ground is much softer, closer to something worn for a while than brand new bedding.
Stored in the linen cupboard
It folded into a small stack for the winter and came out again looking well, with the embroidery flat and no marks from the shelf.
Insert drifts slightly
The corner ties hold the duvet well, though the insert still shifts down a few inches after a couple of nights and needs a shake.
The embroidered flowers make the bed feel gentler when I turn in at night.
Texture matches the description
The fine stripe in the cotton has the subtle woven texture the listing describes, and the embroidery has more depth than it looks online.
Gift for a friend
I gave a set to a friend who moved into a cottage and she loved the little embroidered flowers, so it was a good fit for her taste.
Warm on a humid night
It breathes well on most summer evenings, though on one humid night it felt warmer than we wanted for a cotton set.
Deep pockets on our mattress
The fitted sheet reaches under the corners of our thick mattress comfortably, so it goes on without the tugging we usually expect.
