Pleats run evenly
The pleated border runs evenly around the duvet and the pillow edges repeat it at a smaller scale, so the detail carries across the bed.
Best in the milder months
It works well through spring and autumn, though in the hottest weeks we found the sateen warmer than a plain cotton cover.

It sits well over a lighter insert, though with our heavy winter duvet the cover looks slightly stretched across the pleated border.

Wish for a smaller size
The set is elegant and the pleated border is lovely, and the only thing I would add is a smaller size for the single bed in the guest room.

The pleats are much softer and less shiny in person than the preview led me to expect.
The corner room looks dressed up with the champagne pleats, though it needs daylight to show them.
