Plush, not a deep shag
Plush enough to be worth having, though it is not a deep shag, so do not expect that.

Description
The Vibe: Retro Modern · Cloud-like Softness · Muted Teal
Bring a gentle, retro rhythm to your floor with this Wavy Checkerboard Plush Accent Rug. Its playful, distorted grid pattern in muted teal and cream creates a visual softness that complements the deep, dense comfort of the flocked texture. Perfect for stepping onto first thing in the morning, it adds a layer of warmth and quiet style to your bedside.
Material: Surface: Flocked Polyester / Backing: Non-slip TPR
Why You'll Love It
- Cloud-Like Touch: Densely flocked fibers offer a plush, velvety feel underfoot—a treat for bare feet.
- Retro-Modern Aesthetic: The fluid, wavy checkerboard design softens the rigid lines of a room with a trendy Danish pastel vibe.
- Stay-Put Safety: Equipped with a durable TPR backing to keep the rug securely in place, even on smooth wooden floors.
- Versatile Accent: Ideally sized for bedsides, entryways, or under a vanity chair to instantly elevate the space.
💡 RoomDen Style Note
Best Placement: Because of its "wavy" lines, this rug works beautifully next to furniture with sharp, straight edges (like a square nightstand) to break the monotony. The muted teal color pairs perfectly with warm wood tones or white minimalism.

Flatmate asked about it
My flatmate asked where it came from after standing on it once, which is more than they say about most things in the flat.
Second one for the entry
Bought a second one for the entry. Same quality, though the smaller size looks a bit sparse there.
Warm underfoot
Comfortable underfoot in winter. On a carpeted floor in summer it can feel a little warm.
Playful but not busy
The wavy checkerboard is what makes it — playful from a distance without looking busy up close.
Would like one size larger
Really pleased with it. I would like one size larger for the foot of the bed, but this one is perfect by the bedside.
Dense rather than flat
Dense flocked pile that is genuinely soft on bare feet, not the thin flat rug I was bracing for.
Soft underfoot, stays put, and the colour is a calm muted teal.
Breaks up the straight lines
It looks intentional beside the bed and softens the straight lines of an otherwise plain room.
A small thing that makes getting out of bed on a cold morning noticeably nicer.
Teal is soft, not bright
The teal is a soft muted shade rather than a bright one, and it matches the photos closely.
